I am one of those people who don’t care that it’s the dead of winter, I’m still keeping my dainty (ahem) little feet manicured, soft and moisturized.  Here’s some of my green beauty favorites for feet.  PS I bring these to my mani/pedi, too!

The Moisturizers

Mettā Body Butter  This super luxe skin care line straight out of Australia is currently exclusive to The Detox Market.   I’ve been using the Lavender Mettā Body Butter as a full body moisturizer after I get out of the shower. The beautiful thing about this body butter is that it melts right into the skin and can also be used as a massage oil.  I’ve also been using this on my feet (and body, natch) after scrubbing and I have to say, it’s wonderful.  Because it’s a body butter, I can do my feet and then run the butter all the way up my legs.  I then massage it in and put on my socks. I’ve been sleeping with this on my feet and waking up with thee softest little feet. The ingredients are as pure as they come:  Shea Butter*, Grapeseed Seed Oil*, Jojoba Seed Oil, Cocoa Seed Butter*, Coconut Oil*, Lavender Essential Oil* (contains linalyl acetate, linalool and limonene as naturally occurring components of lavender essential oil) *certified organic $48

Fieldworks Supply Company Feet of Endurance Protective Foot Balm  I was in dire need of a new foot balm and I decided to take a chance and try this out.  It’s excellent and if you’ve got men in your life, they will love it. I recommend putting this on at night (I keep it on my nightstand) and then putting on your socks after you apply.  This balm has an oilier feel that really softens the feet and smells of Thyme. The balm is designed to not only keep the feet moisturized, but also to protect them.  I recommend giving feet a nice scrub before applying any kind of foot cream or balm mainly because that’s when you’ll get the best results.

The Polishes

It’s simple, I’m a fan of polishes that have the least amount of toxins and stay on my nails and toes.  Therefore, my latest favorite is Treat Polishes.  At five-free, they’ve kept out as many toxins as possible so they’re safe for everyone including pregnant women.  I also love that they leave the nails shiny.  What toxins are missing?   Formaldehyde (provokes allergies as well as irritation of the skin, eyes and respiratory tracks and is considered to be cancer-causing), Formaldehyde Resin (can cause allergic contact reactions and skin problems), Toluene (contained in gasoline and is used as a solvent – but EU Regulation classifies it as harmful to health) Dibutyl Phthalate (classified as toxic and dangerous to the environment) and Camphor (used as plasticizer and also used in pest control and blasting gelatine).  The colors run the gamut from pale pinks to neutrals, purples and blues.  $18
