IT’S LINA! My Take On Lina Hanson’s New Products!

At first I was confused. I kept hearing buzz about the Global Face Trio from Lina Hanson and I was certain it was going to be a set of three products, only to realize that it’s a brilliant 3-in-1 product, making it excellent for travel or for those of you who like to keep your skincare simple. The fresh, bright scent of lemongrass (which is so rare in products) is the first thing I noticed; I love that it smells so clean. The texture is of a soft, yet grainy, powder that can be used as a cleanser, an exfoliator (use more water for a gentle exfoliation, less for a deeper clean) and lastly, as a mask (feels so good when you’re washing it off). The Trio honestly does brighten and soften the skin and leaves it looking really clean and renewed. I’m highly recommending this if you love a pared-down routine. I find the Trio to be a unique product with some really original ingredients like Bamboo Stem Powder, Ginseng Stem Extract, Turmeric Root and Licorice Root Powder. Oh, and it also comes with an eco-friendly bamboo spoon.

Okay, hold on, wait a second…before you go saying, “But I don’t have a baby, I don’t need this,” let me tell you how this serum works. First off, yes you can use it on your baby, but that’s not how I used it, obviously. The Global Baby/Sensitive Serum is another product that can be used in a few ways and it’s so nourishing and calming, that’s it wonderful for sensitive and delicate skins. How did I use it? As a cleansing oil! The scent of this (even though it is fragrance-free and contains no essential oils) has the beautiful scent of the Kalahari Melon Seed Oil…yes, melons! It’s really different and makes using it a total treat on the senses. In terms of performance, it’s a no-brainer for those with sensitive skins or for those of you who love a multi-use product (use on babies, in their bath, as a face cleanser, as a non-greasy moisturizer and can also be on stretch marks and all over the body). As I cleanser, I’ve been massaging it all over my face and then removing it with a warm washcloth, gently. I’m all about gentle products these days as I think harsh products are doing more harm than good for people. This, my friends, is the ultimate in sensitive.

Wild-harvested, organic and non-gmo, this balm is yet another multi-purpose product from Lina. My guess is that because she travels so frequently, she’s become really adept at creating only a few products that can fill many needs. I feel like a broken record, but the scent of this is so addictive. It’s a subtle mix of Matcha green tea, coffee and cacao…! Oh, and speaking of scent, if you haven’t tried her fragrance, Satori, you’ll need to…it’s my all-time favorite. So, back to the balm. I’ve been using this under my eyes (wonderful primer before concealer, I might add) on my fine lines, any dry areas of my face (nose in Winter, anyone?) and on my neck. You’ll notice some gold flakes on the top of the balm (loved that). It’s loaded with antioxidants to rejuvenate the skin, soften wrinkles and help restore elasticity. I’d recommend this non-greasy balm for carrying in your bag during the coming chillier weather and I also think it creates a really nice foundation for makeup when you take a bit and press it into the skin.
