Okay, so you’re looking for a creamy, nourishing body lotion that isn’t too thick or too runny, absorbs quickly and is fragrance-free? Well, I’m highly recommending gluten-free (and perfect for sensitive skin) Nubian Heritage’s Shea Butter + Aloe Vera Lotion. This budget-friendly body lotion has been my new go-to post-shower since I’ve been testing it. I’ve also been keeping it on my desk and using it as a hand cream (I’m going to get the travel size and use it for just that!) Super, super creamy, this thicker-than-lotion body cream absorbs rapidly into the skin and feels so refreshing, making it perfect for rushed mornings out of the shower when you don’t have time to wait for a body oil to absorb. Because it’s fragrance free and ideal for sensitive skins, I recommend using this for children, as well. With organic Fair Trade Shea and cocoa butters, vitamin E and aloe vera help to nourish the skin, this lotion will keep skin moisturized and protect it without being heavy on the skin. It also feels so good on just-shaved legs. Oh, and an added bonus? “Nubian Heritage sources certified organic and fair trade Shea Butter directly from women owned and operated cooperatives in Northern Ghana.”
The first thing you’ll notice about Nubian Heritage’s Shea Butter + Aloe Vera Body Washis the consistency. Thick and silky, it feels so wonderful when you’re applying it onto damp skin in the shower. Honestly, it’s my big treat now when I’m taking a shower and I love, love, love using it for shaving my legs! The first words that came to mind when I was using it was “nourishing” and “smooth.” This body wash is also fragrance-free and would be excellent for use on children and for those with sensitive skin. This body wash really leaves the skin feeling moisturized, soft and super clean. I also have been using it with my loofah and it left my skin feeling like I just had a body treatment – soft and hydrated. With certified organic and fair trade ingredients as well as being cruelty, paraben and phthalate free, this affordable body wash gets five stars for performance, ingredients and price.
