LXMI’S CRÈME DU NIL BODY LOTION
Woo-hoo, I’m SO happy that the latest release from LXMI is a body lotion because we desperately need some great ones in green beauty! With lots and lots of body oils out there, nothing beats a super luxe, quick-absorbing body lotion, especially when you don’t have time to wait for an oil to dry. LXMI has just launched their new light, smooth, creamy and oh-my-God-it-smells-so-delicious body lotion, Crème du Nil. I have yet to try their best-selling face moisturizer of the same name, but this body lotion was inspired by it.
THE INGREDIENTS
What makes this body cream different? LXMI uses a USDA-certified-organic rare relative of shea butter called Nilotica. Although high in essential fatty acids and rich in both vitamins and nutrients, Nilotica is difficult to source (and expensive) so it’s not as widely used in the cosmetic industry. The Nilotica gives LXMI’s products a luscious feel without being heavy or leaving behind that oily feel. In fact, this lotion is so, so, so light and smooth, that you could easily keep it on your desk as a hand lotion, as well (mine has been traveling from the bathroom to my desk since I received it). The scent is so subtle, pretty and fresh-smelling. I was trying to pinpoint exactly what the scent was from reading the ingredients (there’s lavender in there), but it’s really just a lovely mix of fruity and floral.
Key ingredients are Nilotica, green tea and aloe and the texture is just right: thick, but not heavy and it slides on like a smooth, light lotion. This body lotion is perfect year-round as it leaves a hydrated/nourished look to the skin.
