WHY BRILLIANT BLACK TOOTHPASTE?
WHAT’S TO LOVE? What’s better than removing tooth stains naturally? I love the idea of using what the Earth has to offer us and Brilliant Black does just that. It contains pure ingredients that will safely remove stains, freshen your breath, balance out pH levels and polish your teeth white. I also love the look of the packaging and the fact that it comes with its very own 100% biodegradable bamboo toothbrush (and recyclable travel case). The BPA-free bristles of the toothbrush are also infused with activated charcoal. In my opinion, everyone should be using a bamboo toothbrush as plastic toothbrushes are one of the top items found in ocean waste.
THE INGREDIENTS I haven’t used a toothpaste that contained fluoride in YEARS. If you read up on the dangers of fluoride, you’ll see why. For this reason, I’m incredibly picky about what I brush my teeth with as toxic ingredients are very easily absorbed into the bloodstream especially through the gums and mouth. This toothpaste is fluoride-free, contains no peroxides, no Triclosan, it’s also vegan, gluten-free and cruelty-free. The ingredients are simple and pure, too: purified water, diatomaceous earth, baking soda, xylitol, coconut oil, activated carbon, peppermint oil, xanthan gum and tea tree oil.
Let’s put it this way, I’ve been savoringBrilliant Black Toothpasteand really look forward to brushing my teeth since it arrived. I love the idea of not just “brushing” my teeth, but having an ingredient in my paste that actively works towards whitening and ridding my mouth of bacteria, too. This paste also leaves my mouth feeling very clean and fresh. Plus, the bamboo toothbrush is not only gorgeous to look at and environmentally safe, but it’s also perfect for travel as it’s light and the holder is so convenient.
HOW IT WORKS
Charcoal is the heavy-hitter here as, “negative ionic charges of charcoal bind to bacteria, plaque and tartar to remove stains and promote healthy pH levels in the mouth.”
Baking soda, due to it’s texture, polishes teeth and fights plaque.
Coconut Oil is used very often for oil pulling because of its anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties that keep breath smelling fresh. Coconut oil is also great for whitening.
Peppermint oil is a natural way to leave the mouth smelling fresh.
