I use an RMS luminizer everyday. Whether it is their Living Luminizer (subtle, pretty dewy shine) or Master Mixer (has a rose gold tint and can be worn on lips and added to your other makeup to change up the color). So, when I saw that they had a new one, the Magic Luminizer, I was pretty intrigued. How could it possibly be different from the other two? Well, I’ll tell you. Magic Luminizer is a highlighter with a “moon-lit champagne opalescence” and it’s a lot less subtle than its sisters, Living Luminizer and Master Mixer. It definitely has more of a POW factor, yet still looks very sophisticated and never “sparkly.” I’m not a fan of that super shiny cheek that looks like it has layers of shimmer powder on it. This is really pretty and brightens up the face with “incandescent neutrals and subtle pink undertones.”
I love anything made by Captain Blankenship and always have. Beyond the look of the packaging (so damn cute) I find all of the products to be really effective, smell wonderful and have the best of the best ingredients. This was one product that I had been eyeing for quite some time as anything with the words, “mermaid” and “mask” hook me in right away. What I wasn’t expecting was the gorgeous bright green color that the mask turns when you apply it and how much it brightened up my skin. This mask will really deep clean your skin by drawing out impurities and fighting blemishes (organic nettle powder). It also nourishes the skin, fights inflammation (organic Matcha tea) and is full of antioxidants and minerals. It left my skin so radiant and it will not, I repeat, it will not dry out your skin. With a mix of organic plants, organic seaweeds, tea and clay, it’s great for all skin types. Highly recommending this…I just used it again this morning!
I kept hearing so much about Davids Toothpaste (yes, no apostrophe) in the green beauty community that I was very happy when Margot from The Choosy Chick recommended I try it. What’s to love? Well first off, it definitely whitens the teeth, it tastes so minty and fresh, the tube is recyclable and it’s made in the USA (USA origin, too). Davids is also fluoride-free (didn’t know about the dangers of fluoride? Definitely read up on it as you should be fluoride-free, t00) and it contains no sulfates which are harmful to your body and the environment. Using conventional toothpaste is a problem if you start to look into it, you’ll see how many ingredients are harmful to you, never mind the coloring they add, etc. This, I have to say, is my new favorite toothpaste and I thought I’d never switch from Dr. Bronner’s! I’m a huge fan of brands that consider the environment when creating packaging and product.
